Follow symbolic links option
This option allows you to decide how symbolic links are handled. If you don’t wish symbolic links to be processed at all, just turn off this option and all symbolic links will be ignored.
If you choose to turn on this option, symbolic links will be treated as if real files/folders. Due to permissions associated with symbolic links may not be the same as referred files/folders, you also need to choose which permissions should be retrieved from following options.
- Retrieve permissions that links refer to
- Retrieve permissions of links
- Do not retrieve permissions at all
